I Love Creating! If there is something in your life that you really love to do, play a sport, dance, write, yoga, garden, read, whatever you are passionate about, you likely experience the same things I do when creating. It has become my way of allowing my mind to rest, and when I am creating, the rest of the world slips away and my mind is peaceful. That is more important than ever these days.

I was first drawn to Artisan Jewelry by its unique beauty and character, the idea of "no rules”. It gives each woman the opportunity to express herself with pieces that speak to her, and likely are not being worn by another woman anywhere in the world! As unique as she is. I love that. And jewelry is fun! Fun to browse, fun to create, and fun to wear. I use a wide variety of high quality materials and supplies, and many handcrafted pieces by talented Etsy Artisans. I am honored that women in many countries wear pieces I have made.

About the name: "She Flies" is a phrase I've used for many years when referring to a woman who has "made it." Not financially, not even necessarily successful by any of society's standards. It's a term for a woman who knows herself, her beliefs; a woman who is comfortable in her own skin, enjoys her own company, and loves freely.

When my mother passed away, it took on a second meaning. In my mind I kept saying, “She's Flying Again,” in an effort to help myself accept that she was gone from here. . . . .but that she was now whole again.

When naming the shop, I wanted it to reflect what I strive to be, what I hope to become, a woman who Flies, a woman who Flies in a brand new arena, a different place from anywhere I've ever been. "Flying Again!" And in my heart it is also a silent memorial to my Mom, whose passing left a much larger void than I could ever have imagined. . . . .a Beloved Woman who is “Flying Again.”
